Veterans Day

On Veterans Day, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country, including refugees who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy today. Bach Viet is proud to support refugee veterans and their families, and to provide resources to help them transition to life in the United States.

Martin Luther King Birthday

Juneteenth

Juneteenth is an annual holiday observed in the United States on that date. It commemorates the moment in 1865 when Union Army General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and issued General Order No. 3, announcing the end of slavery in Texas and effectively emancipating the last enslaved African Americans in the Confederate states. Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and African American heritage, marked by events such as parades, festivals, music, and discussions on the history and struggles of Black Americans.
