Bach Viet Association
Our Story: From Struggle to Strength
At Bach Viet, our history is rooted in our commitment to serving refugees and immigrants in our community. Since 1982, our organization has been a leader in providing support and resources to help our clients thrive. We are proud of our history and look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Since 1982, Bach Viet has been dedicated to providing support and resources for refugees and their families. We initially focused on providing opportunities for refugee students to engage in extracurricular activities and social clubs, but our mission has since expanded to include a range of programs and services designed to help refugees integrate into their new communities.
Together We Can Make a Difference in Refugees' Lives
Did you know that Bach Viet was originally established to help Vietnamese refugees settle into their new lives in a foreign country? Our non-profit organization started by providing essential social services to those in need, as well as organizing events and activities that helped refugees feel more integrated into their new communities. 20 years later, we started to see more Hmong and Russian refugees flowing into Sacramento. In the present, we are seeing a steady flow of Afghan and Ukrainian clients.
